17/10/2016 18:00 Clojure baby steps

#1

Hello friends,

we are going to start learning clojure by creating a fun project.

In the first part (it will need some more meetups to finish it), we will learn some basics, setup our editors,
create the base project, and write some functions.

You don’t need to have any prior clojure or functional programming experience.

The main thing you will need is a decent amount of parentheses

Also, you should bring your laptop - if you don’t have one you will pair with someone that has.

See you there,
Kostas

In order to gain some time I have written a blog post on how to get started with clojure and set up an editor (LightTable).

This should take about 20’.

If you don’t have enough time, it’s ok as we are going to start setting things up. In that case you can just make sure that you have a jdk installed.

See you there!
